Fall...through my eyes...

I love Fall for so many reasons..
Sweaters
Scarves
Hoodies
Boots
Cider
Apples
Pumpkins
Earth Tones
Dried Flowers
Vibrant warm and hot colors...
orange
yellow
red
browns...
even the rain...
Halloween yards in small towns...
old homes decorated with Fall decor..
See Fall through my eyes...all of these images were taken on our road trip today..in the rain but we didn't care..Love walking through ankle deep leaf's and having rosy cheeks! Could do without mud but its better than snow..Michigan is awesome in the Fall. Took some great Fall photos last weekend as well..more to come! Embracing it all cause I'm not too happy with winter in its way..want to take every bit of this in...bouts of seasonal depression in the winter...going to try to embrace it with my camera in hand this year!

But for now...see through my eyes..

Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.  ~Albert Camus

Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor, summer an oil painting and autumn a mosaic of them all.  ~Stanley Horowitz

For man, autumn is a time of harvest, of gathering together.  For nature, it is a time of sowing, of scattering abroad.  ~Edwin Way Teale

Oh how we love pumpkin season.  You did know this gourd-ish squash has its own season, right?  Winter, Spring, Summer, Pumpkin.... We anxiously anticipate it every year.  Trader Joe's Flyer 2010

“Autumn, the year's last, loveliest smile.”
William Cullen Bryant

Everyone must take time to sit and watch the leaves turn.  ~Elizabeth Lawrence

Delicious autumn!  My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns.  ~George Eliot

"Autumn is the mellower season, and what we lose in flowers we more than gain in fruits."
Samuel Butler

How beautifully leaves grow old.  How full of light and color are their last days.  ~John Burroughs

"Just before the death of flowers,
And before they are buried in snow,
There comes a festival season
When nature is all aglow."

Bittersweet October.  The mellow, messy, leaf-kicking, perfect pause between the opposing miseries of summer and winter.  ~Carol Bishop Hipps
